Brand Color Part 6: Is Your Color Orange?
If your brand attributes communicate vitality, productivity, and strength – orange is the color for you. With hues ranging from tangerine to persimmon, orange is an energetic color that can symbolize optimism and enthusiasm. According to Empower Yourself With Color Psychology, use orange to “suggest adventure, fun, optimism. When Not to Use Orange: Be careful when using orange in business; apply it sparingly as it tends to be the most disliked color in the western world.
Shades of Orange:
A softer version of orange, such as peach is favorable in beauty salons, spas and treatment centers and upper class restaurants.
Sports teams can use this vibrant color in their team colors to suggest energy, flamboyance and adventure. It is also a great color to use on toys for young children, along with other bright primary and secondary colors.
